Uberrime Splendid Dual Density Dildo- Small Size Review

It’s no secret that I love Uberrime’s original Splendid dual-density dildo. But as someone who prefers more average-sized silicone dildos for everyday use, the girthy original Splendid can be a challenge. So when Peepshow Toys gave me the opportunity to try out the new petite version, Uberrime’s Splendid Dual-Density Dildo, Small Size, I was all over it.

Overview

Uberrime found great success when they introduced the Splendid last year, earning the approval of OG sex toy reviewer, Epiphora, along with many other review bloggers. This year, they’ve added two new versions of the lauded dildo: a smaller, average-sized version and an eye-popping large model (size queens, Uberrime sees you). The original size has been rebranded as “medium.”

The small Splendid is just like the medium, but with each detail perfectly scaled down. The length is a hair shorter (5.25″ insertable- small vs. 5.5″ insertable- medium), the girth, a smidge narrower (1.59″- small vs. 1.67″- medium). The prominent veins from the medium are present on the small but they’re much more streamlined. The result is a smoother overall texture on the small. Compared to the medium, the small is totally familiar yet pared down in every way. It’s the subtle Splendid.

The small Splendid is the same smooth Platinum silicone as the medium. It has a matte-ish finish that doesn’t attract epic furballs or require absurd amounts of lube. The color options also feature the same stunning pearl pigments as well. At the base of all of Uberrime’s dildos, you’ll find an artful swirl of pigment as an extra touch. That’s the kind of attention to detail that you’ll only find on a handmade dildo and it sets Uberrime’s work apart.

In Use

I immediately noticed that the dual-density silicone on the small is softer than the medium. That makes sense: as a rule, the thicker the dildo, the firmer it will feel, even when comparing two dildos of the same density. I found myself absentmindedly squeezing the head between my fingers like a stress ball. It has more give to the touch than the medium and I love it for that. It’s not the absolute squishiest dildo I’ve felt, but it’s good. Nothing pleases me (and my vagina) more than a soft and squishy dildo and the small Splendid dildo is a sensory delight.

If you love the acute g-spotting curve of the medium, you’ll be happy with the small as well. Lined up side by side, the angle is nearly the same (not quite, though). In use, the curve combined with the dual-density silicone gave my g-spot a lovely massage. The small Splendid’s g-spotting ability, dual-density silicone, along with its average size, makes it a dildo I come back to day after day. It’s a perfect fit for my body and I want to use it all of the time. And unlike the medium Splendid, it’s comfortable for fast, rough thrusting- just like I like it.

When the small Splendid arrived from Peepshow Toys and I suddenly had more than one Uberrime dildo in my possession, I noticed that the bases stick to surfaces like suction cups. Uberrime doesn’t advertise these as suction cup dildos though. Technically, these dildos have standard flared bases but their smooth silicone functions like a suction cup anyway. Now, you can stick these dildos to a smooth surface and they’ll stick around pretty well- not perfectly. You can also suction your Splendid to a bare floor and take it for a ride if that’s your style. Personally, I love that they stick together and hold really well, turning into a double dildo without the aid of a suction cup attachment. If you have more than one Uberrime dildo, you can also use one side as a handle. If you have poor dexterity or a bit of a tummy to reach over, a dildo with a handle is going to make your solo sessions much easier. Watch the video below for a demo.

Final Thoughts

I didn’t think I would love Uberrime’s small Splendid as much as I do. It looks much more unassuming than the original. But in the end, that’s what I love about it. It’s the ideal everyday dildo. Its average-sized dimensions coupled with its realistic feel will make it a perfect choice for many different people. If I could only have one dildo in my collection, the small Splendid just might be it.

Thanks so much to Peepshow Toys for sending me Uberrime’s Splendid- Small in exchange for an honest review. This post contains affiliate links which support this site at no additional cost to you, the reader.
